Powerhouse Patisserie Rosemary & Thyme

From the minute you step in the door of Rosemary & Thyme European Café and Artisan Bakery, you feel transported to a narrow backstreet in a European town.

It’s not just the French posters and café tables; it’s the look of the croissants, both plain and chocolate-filled; it’s the aromas wafting in from the tiny kitchen where owners Matt and Anna Tscheulin have been prepping and baking since the early morning hours. And then, of course, it’s the tastes: the hazelnut chocolate inside the croissant (made with European butter); the Black Forest scone loaded with dried cherries and dark chocolate chips; the savory croissants with ham or andouille sausage; the spark of fresh basil and arugula in the Travino (with prosciutto) and Tuscan (with fresh mozzarella) sandwiches, served on grilled baguettes with a balsamic reduction.

A dozen more sandwiches (including the signature Rosemary and Thyme, with herbed goat cheese and Kalamata olives), plus salads, small pizzas and crostini fill out the menu of this powerhouse patisserie. Even the everyday chocolate chip cookie is elevated to new heights at R & T.
